DAY 83- END OF THE TRIP

Friday, Nov 1st
Day 83# 29 of the Mississippi.

Windy and a little chilly, better than yesterday. Called mama for her birthday. Floating at 9:15 from Buras. Made it to Venice, La. the last drivable place, was gonna keep going, but then I would’ve either had to get a boat back to Venice or paddle over 20 miles upriver. I didn’t start at the beginning, I have gone farther than I planned, and I don’t want to inconvenience my buddy any more than I already am, I have had an amazing trip, I am calling this good. Joe Wood Cunningham Is picking me up in the morning.  I will have a closing post and a gear list with pros n cons and lessons learned later on, let me get everything all back in order and have time to sit n write it all out. I do want to thank everyone that I have newly met for your hospitality and encouragement and love throughout this adventure, and to my friends and family that have encouraged me and enjoyed my travels. 😊 love you all!!! I have enjoyed sharing this so much.

Chris Started his trip Saturday August 10th 2019 He finished Friday November 1st 2019 went 1968 miles ended in Venice.  This is the journey of a life time most people will never experience so that’s the reason why I am sharing his trip so the rest of us can get a little taste of his .  He also told me he hopes to encourage a little bit of adventure in everyone, it doesn’t have to be huge, just something that people have thought about doing.
