DAY 36


Saturday September 14th

7:30 wake up, need a new charger and block, was hot super hot and wouldn’t charge a few days ago. 9:10 paddled across the river found marker 629.8 met Jim Kellog, Gary, Johnny White with his fair crew, David Wicks, and some long canoe guys and the lovely, Phyllis McCoy. Great time hanging out in West Point Kentucky. left around 3:30, marker 636.5 at 5:30, met a father and son fishing, the boys 10th birthday is today, and that boat is his present!! Perfect father son present. Set up camp at 6:30 easy day today. Good day today, I say good day!!!

Chris Started his trip Saturday August 10th 2019 He finished Friday November 1st 2019 went 1968 miles ended in Venice.  This is the journey of a life time most people will never experience so that’s the reason why I am sharing his trip so the rest of us can get a little taste of his .  He also told me he hopes to encourage a little bit of adventure in everyone, it doesn’t have to be huge, just something that people have thought about doing. He had so many people say “man I want to do this someday” with this trip and his 4 corner trip Go OUT AND DO IT !! He’s what we all should strive to be.  Relaxed and Free!  He’s just a Retire Navy Vet floating down the rivers, meeting cool people and kicking back and having a blast.
