DAY 1

Mom, Aunt Vicki, Bill, Steph, Mike, Krissi Aunt Cindy uncle Bob, Conner, Karen,Julia, Steph and Arlene were there to see me off. 

Departed 12:30 Aug 10th 2019
After a couple of adjustment stops and phone calls I only made it to I 70 in 3 1/2 hours not to mention when I stop paddling I end up going backwards the wind was kicking my ass, so needless to say it is been a trying day so far. Set up camp right b4 the first Lock in Charleroi. Slept great in my hammock last night made a fire n having coffee while the fog burns off a little. I didn’t make it very far at all maybe 8 miles... slow start... but it is just the beginning.
