DAY 46


Tuesday September 24th

Walked over half a mile to get some tasty water, apparently that garden hose was nasty 🤢, BS’d with Larry doin a little fishing. 10:15 floating time, met Ralph Baker and, Jamiel Morris on the ramp in Henderson Kentucky. Chatted with another gentleman, WW2 Army Vet, telling me about Green River and how deep it is for the width. He also told me about watching his uncle drive his Ford Model T across the frozen Ohio before the dams were in place. Nice relaxing walk around Henderson, and some Hardees!!! Man that was a grub burger. sleeping on my Island tonight. Didn’t get many miles, there are a lot of deer here!!! Marker 806.5, 13 miles, I really should have taken advantage, there was 0 wind and smooth as glass waters. 🤷🏼‍♂️ oh well.

Chris Started his trip Saturday August 10th 2019 He finished Friday November 1st 2019 went 1968 miles ended in Venice.  This is the journey of a life time most people will never experience so that’s the reason why I am sharing his trip so the rest of us can get a little taste of his .  He also told me he hopes to encourage a little bit of adventure in everyone, it doesn’t have to be huge, just something that people have thought about doing. He had so many people say “man I want to do this someday” with this trip and his 4 corner trip Go OUT AND DO IT !! He’s what we all should strive to be.  Relaxed and Free!  He’s just a Retire Navy Vet floating down the rivers, meeting cool people and kicking back and having a blast.
