Saturday October 5th

9am start. New Madrid marker 890 at 11:30 met n chatted with Kim Austin Madigan. Stuck around, spent an hour in the museum, there was a fall festival and as I was getting ready to float the catfish tournament was coming in... went back for more food and to watch for a little bit. 5:15-ish floating for maybe a half hour n setting up camp. Posting early.

Hello Welcome To My Blog I want to share my friend Chris Henderson 1,888 miles Kayak Trip From Roscoe PA To New Orleans He’s Paddling Monongahela - Ohio & Mississippi River. Chris Started his trip Saturday August 10th 2019 He finished Friday November 1st 2019 went 1968 miles ended in Venice.  This is the journey of a life time most people will never experience so that’s the reason why I am sharing his trip so the rest of us can get a little taste of his .  He also told me he hopes to encourage a little bit of adventure in everyone, it doesn’t have to be huge, just something that people have thought about doing. He had so many people say “man I want to do this someday” with this trip and his 4 corner trip Go OUT AND DO IT !! He’s what we all should strive to be.  Relaxed and Free!  He’s just a Retire Navy Vet floating down the rivers, meeting cool people and kicking back and having a blast.
