DAY 48


Thursday September 26th

6 am wake up 8am floating. Leaves are falling. Little sprinkles and a little chilly, not too bad though Mt Vernon Indiana at 9:30. Holy crap!! About a 15 lb aisian carp jumped about 2-3 ft outta the water scared the carp outta me. Union Town Kentucky at 1:00 marker 843 lunch at Hannas Place, picked up some groceries, dinner and water, back floating at 3:05 John T Myers lock marker 846 at 4:05 in n out lickety split. 4:15 out missed a shortcut 🤷🏼‍♂️ 6:00 set up camp, the days are getting shorter. I had a good day.

Chris Started his trip Saturday August 10th 2019 He finished Friday November 1st 2019 went 1968 miles ended in Venice.  This is the journey of a life time most people will never experience so that’s the reason why I am sharing his trip so the rest of us can get a little taste of his .  He also told me he hopes to encourage a little bit of adventure in everyone, it doesn’t have to be huge, just something that people have thought about doing. He had so many people say “man I want to do this someday” with this trip and his 4 corner trip Go OUT AND DO IT !! He’s what we all should strive to be.  Relaxed and Free!  He’s just a Retire Navy Vet floating down the rivers, meeting cool people and kicking back and having a blast.
