DAY 4


Tuesday August 13th 

Fell out of the hammock last night adjusting my sleeping bag, right on a rock!!!!
Start floating 8:40, “I call it floating, but honestly, it is not even close 🤣 made it to The Point in Pittsburgh at 11:00, went around the point a little n took pics. That was 48 Miles from Roscoe to The start of The Ohio. 981 miles to the Mississippi River. So Far I have traveled about 17 miles down the Ohio oh also made it through Lock 1 and 2 of the Ohio. Had a little rain mixed with thunder n lightning, don’t worry after the 4th strike I got outta the water for an hour. Didn’t set up camp till late. Think I saw a water snake, but it was too dark to be certain. Ok Im beat till 2morrow.

Chris Started his trip Saturday August 10th 2019 He finished Friday November 1st 2019 went 1968 miles ended in Venice.  This is the journey of a life time most people will never experience so that’s the reason why I am sharing his trip so the rest of us can get a little taste of his .  He also told me he hopes to encourage a little bit of adventure in everyone, it doesn’t have to be huge, just something that people have thought about doing. He had so many people say “man I want to do this someday” with this trip and his 4 corner trip Go OUT AND DO IT !! He’s what we all should strive to be.  Relaxed and Free!  He’s just a Retire Navy Vet floating down the rivers, meeting cool people and kicking back and having a blast.
