Thursday September 19th

Floating at 8:15 Cannelton Lock and Dam through at 9:20ish lock master Kaleb Weaver. Got to ride in the back of a cop car (with no cuffs on!!!). Hawesville Kentucky police dept, thank you for the lift. Should’ve ran out n make it look like he tazed me!!! Damn it, next time. Met Donna Jones at the Tell City Indiana boat ramp, Went to the Pour House, Kristian was my bartender, he has a buddy that does some crazy stuff too!!! gonna check out his YouTube later for more ideas. Had me two 20oz “triple boner IPA” 11% and mighty tasty!! Damn, good beers!! They have kegs as urinals!!! Back on the river at 2:30, don’t see this as a very productive day 🤣🤣 90 on the river is hot as hell, throw a little drink into the mix 🤪 3:20 stop to eat my firecracker buffalo chicken wrap. Marker 733.3 at 5:00. Not much further, I am on another island 😆

Hello Welcome To My Blog I want to share my friend Chris Henderson 1,888 miles Kayak Trip From Roscoe PA To New Orleans He’s Paddling Monongahela - Ohio & Mississippi River. Chris Started his trip Saturday August 10th 2019 He finished Friday November 1st 2019 went 1968 miles ended in Venice.  This is the journey of a life time most people will never experience so that’s the reason why I am sharing his trip so the rest of us can get a little taste of his .  He also told me he hopes to encourage a little bit of adventure in everyone, it doesn’t have to be huge, just something that people have thought about doing. He had so many people say “man I want to do this someday” with this trip and his 4 corner trip Go OUT AND DO IT !! He’s what we all should strive to be.  Relaxed and Free!  He’s just a Retire Navy Vet floating down the rivers, meeting cool people and kicking back and having a blast.
