DAY 56


Friday October 4th

8:55 start of the Mississippi, mile marker 954. A little intimidating crossing in. Shit went pretty smooth. 9:25 celebration 💨 🤪🤣👍🏻marker 931.2 at 1:00. 5:30 found my spot, setting up camp. No reception, oh and I’m out of Kentucky, sleeping in Missouri bordering Tennessee across the river tonight. Made some good progress not sure the mileage. Had good winds, water and currents. Asian carp slapped my left forearm and continued across my lap out of my yak!!!

Chris Started his trip Saturday August 10th 2019 He finished Friday November 1st 2019 went 1968 miles ended in Venice.  This is the journey of a life time most people will never experience so that’s the reason why I am sharing his trip so the rest of us can get a little taste of his .  He also told me he hopes to encourage a little bit of adventure in everyone, it doesn’t have to be huge, just something that people have thought about doing. He had so many people say “man I want to do this someday” with this trip and his 4 corner trip Go OUT AND DO IT !! He’s what we all should strive to be.  Relaxed and Free!  He’s just a Retire Navy Vet floating down the rivers, meeting cool people and kicking back and having a blast.
