Day 65 #10 On Mississippi

Met Charlie, 73 years young, canoeing with his pup to NOLA!! Lazy 1:45 start. Early stopping at 5:00, recovery day from the weekend 🤣.




Monday Oct 14th, 
Day 66, #11 on the Mississippi. 
Fire, coffee, donuts, n hot potato bacon soup for breakfast, tear down 9:30 floating. Marker 628.0 at 11:55. 622.8 at 12:55 616.0 at 2:05, 610.2 at 3:00. 5:50 shutting her down. Was hoping to see Charlie, he is either hauling butt or I didn’t see him and passed him. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Chris Started his trip Saturday August 10th 2019 He finished Friday November 1st 2019 went 1968 miles ended in Venice.  This is the journey of a life time most people will never experience so that’s the reason why I am sharing his trip so the rest of us can get a little taste of his .  He also told me he hopes to encourage a little bit of adventure in everyone, it doesn’t have to be huge, just something that people have thought about doing. He had so many people say “man I want to do this someday” with this trip and his 4 corner trip Go OUT AND DO IT !! He’s what we all should strive to be.  Relaxed and Free!  He’s just a Retire Navy Vet floating down the rivers, meeting cool people and kicking back and having a blast.
