Sunday September 15th DAY 37

woke up, hot coffee, Beautiful morning to yak a little. Late start..... if ya wanna keep going gotta stay clean and organized, spilled soap in the yak a few days ago...scrubbed her down and my gear, inventory and organize, river bath and then floating, 11:45 met Gary Dykhuis, Danang Vietnam Vet 68-69, he left the Bees, went on to become and retire Sergeant Major. His buddy Jon Leppala, awesome hanging out and having beers and telling sea stories. Both are from Minnesota. Met Larry Carter n his wife at the Brandenburg ramp, had me some pizza at Jailhouse Pizza in Brandenburg, cool little place. Made a mile then decided, too much pizza and beers to keep yakin. Posted up under the bridge.


Monday Day 38, floating at 8;45, beautiful morning!! Marker 652.7 at 10:10 captain of the Leslie M Niel gave a toot of the ol horn. New Amsterdam mile 656 at 11:20 12:20 lunch. Leavenworth Indiana. Marker 675.4 at 5:45 7:00 picked my spot just this side of Alton Indiana.


Tues Day 39 10:00 float, tried to catch a buck!!! Waited an extra hour n a half to get a good video, but he left. Marker 684.9 at 12:00 Derby Indiana at 2:20 down to a liter of water, not cola Farva. Found me a sweet spot at 6:15 to set it up marker 699.4, 749 miles total
Wed Day 40 in the books, 10:00 start time, love my relaxed mornings!!! Marker 708.2 at 12:20, Cloverport Kentucky, marker 711 at 1:20. Posting early, just incase I don’t have service tonight 🤷🏼‍♂️
