DAY 15

Almost forgot, had a hummingbird visit me as I was making up camp Fri night and again as I was tearing it down Sat morning.
On the river at 8:10 marker 222 Shoutout to the Captain of the “Winnie C”, first barge to give me a honk!!! 2nd Monster in 15 days, and man are they delicious!!! Lock # 12. Ran into this beer sharing good sir again James Stewart, we sat n bullshitted met his lady,Beth Mcclaskey-Mcquaid gotta love these river folks!!! Marker 247.9 at 340. Was going to stop under a bridge and walk to Walmart, but figured I would give this a chance, stopped at a dock and beautiful house right before the bridge, walked up, a gentlemen was in there cleaning up his Harley, I introduced myself, he said “I saw you on Facebook, ive got a ride for you to Walmart, opened up his garage and let me borrow his Jeep!!! How bad ass is this guy!!! I get back and he had grilled up some dogs for his grandkids, even made me one!!! And then even gave me a bag of some delicious amish jerky, Steve Stewart, a pretty cool cat in my book. Thank you again. 252.5 , 30 miles 300 so far and a re-supply.
