DAY 62


Thursday October 10th
Day 62, #7 of the Mississippi.

 Woke up at 4:30, a little bit windy, warmed up fast, feels like a good kinda day, had my coffee, my turkey panini, packed up and on with it at 9:50, should’ve been gone by 8:00 but got stuck on stupid funny videos 🤣. 5:45 setting up camp, just passed the 692.0 marker. Winds were heavy for a few hours today, still did pretty good. 14 barges passed by me.

Chris Started his trip Saturday August 10th 2019 He finished Friday November 1st 2019 went 1968 miles ended in Venice.  This is the journey of a life time most people will never experience so that’s the reason why I am sharing his trip so the rest of us can get a little taste of his .  He also told me he hopes to encourage a little bit of adventure in everyone, it doesn’t have to be huge, just something that people have thought about doing. He had so many people say “man I want to do this someday” with this trip and his 4 corner trip Go OUT AND DO IT !! He’s what we all should strive to be.  Relaxed and Free!  He’s just a Retire Navy Vet floating down the rivers, meeting cool people and kicking back and having a blast.
