Monday September 23rd 

Rained a little last night, just one little sprinkle during the morning, 8:30 start time. 11:30 Newburgh dam 776.1 I didn’t even have to call or pull the chain, as I pulled close he opened the gates easy day!!! 12 min lock through!!! Awesome. Stopped in Newburgh for some overpriced lasagna and cheese cake and a Pepsi. 6:15 the other side of the river from Evansville marker 793.5 about 23 today, 841 total.

Chris Started his trip Saturday August 10th 2019 He finished Friday November 1st 2019 went 1968 miles ended in Venice.  This is the journey of a life time most people will never experience so that’s the reason why I am sharing his trip so the rest of us can get a little taste of his .  He also told me he hopes to encourage a little bit of adventure in everyone, it doesn’t have to be huge, just something that people have thought about doing. He had so many people say “man I want to do this someday” with this trip and his 4 corner trip Go OUT AND DO IT !! He’s what we all should strive to be.  Relaxed and Free!  He’s just a Retire Navy Vet floating down the rivers, meeting cool people and kicking back and having a blast.
